Featured on NASA&#039;s website and selected by CNN as one of the world&#039;s wonders, this luminous spectacle appears annually between spring and summer on Matsu, one of Taiwan&#039;s outlying islands.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<section>\n<h2>Regarding Ma Zulan&#039;s tears<\/h2>\n<p>The seasonal Matsu Blue Tears arrived early in 2016, appearing from April to May.<strong>&quot;Explosive growth&quot;<\/strong>Blue tears have appeared. Fu Ge, owner of the Matsu 1234 Youth Hostel and an expert on blue tears, explained that &quot;blue tears&quot; was the name chosen by a poll conducted several years ago in Matsu for this phenomenon that glows at night over the sea.
