Day 1
Your Macedonia tour starts now! For your convenience, a driver is provided to meet you at the arrival hall for direct private transfer to your hotel.
Day 2
Start of your 5 days private driver guide service sightseeing tour of Skopje including Fortress Kale, the Church of Saint Spas and the old Turkish bazaar, which is the largest and most well preserved in the south-east Europe. Continue to archaelogical site Stobi. Visit of Prilep with the interesting neighborhood Varos, Markovi Kuli, Old Bazar. Overnight in Bitola
Day 3
After breakfast, your Driver Guide will take you on a sightseeing tour of Bitola. Nicknamed as the “City of Consuls”, Bitola is a grand old town that still bears the marks of its turn-of-the-century importance as a center for diplomacy, while also exemplifying the country’s time-honored cafe culture. Move along to Resen and visit the St. Naum Monastery. Situated along Lake Orhid, the monastery is considered as one of the most popular destinations in North Macedonia. Drive to Ohrid for overnight.
Day 4
Guided walking tour of Ohrid in the morning.
Notable for once having had 365 churches, one for each day of the year, Ohrid has been referred to as a “Jerusalem of the Balkans”.The city is rich in picturesque houses and monuments.
Rest of the day is free at leisure.
Day 5
Morning scenic drive from Lake Ohrid to Mavrovo NP to visit Bigorsky Monastery. This revered 1020 Byzantine monastery dedicated to St. John the Baptist, is located high in the Sar Mountains. Continue on to Tetovo for a visit to the Painted Mosque in Arabati Baba Tekke. Like something out of the Arabian tales and quite unique to the Balkans, it was first built in the 15th century. Overnight in Tetovo.
Day 6
Excursion to the dramatic Matka Gorge with a boat trip (if the weather permits). Cruise by small boat between the vertical rocks. Pass ancient houses, temples, and medieval monasteries. Overnight Skopje.
Day 7
At the desired time, meet your driver at the hotel lobby for private transfer to the airport.
