Family Trip Booking Instructions and FAQs
Will the drive to Mongolia be too long and tiring for a child?
This is precisely why we designed our "Family-Exclusive Small Group Tour." Compared to regular adult tours, this route optimizes the distances between attractions and includes spacious Grand Starex/Delica private vehicles. While some sections may still be bumpy, as a private tour, the driver/guide can stop at any time to rest or use the restroom as needed by the children, offering great flexibility. We recommend parents prepare motion sickness medication and their children's favorite snacks.
Are standard yurts suitable for families?
The standard yurts arranged in the itinerary each have 3-4 beds, perfect for a family to stay in one space – a very cozy experience! Please note that the toilets and bathrooms in the standard yurts are shared facilities located in the center of the camp, but they are kept clean and tidy. If you have young children and want easier access to the toilet at night, we strongly recommend contacting your advisor to upgrade to a "deluxe yurt with private bathroom".
Are the local foods palatable to children?
Mongolian cuisine primarily features beef, mutton, and noodles, with relatively simple flavors. Camp restaurants also offer rice and vegetables. Hotels and restaurants in Ulaanbaatar city offer a wide variety of Western and Asian options. Our guides will try their best to arrange easily digestible meals for families, and parents may also consider bringing a small amount of children's usual snacks or instant noodles in case of need.
