A leisurely trip through a single country or a loop tour of all three can be modified from your existing itinerary.
From April to September, there is more sunshine and relatively stable weather. Late November to December is a good time to visit in conjunction with Christmas markets or New Year's Eve celebrations in Edinburgh, but visitor numbers and room rates are higher. It depends on what you want to do. For exploring the highlights of a single region (such as London and its surroundings, or the Scottish Highlands alone), 6-8 days are recommended; for a combined trip to England, Scotland and Ireland, at least 10-14 days are recommended to allow enough time for a slower pace.
A dedicated driver-guide and private vehicle will accompany you throughout the trip. If the itinerary involves crossing channels (such as to Ireland), we will assist in arranging large ferries for both passengers and vehicle to minimize the need for carrying luggage and transferring between vehicles. For some long-distance routes, domestic flights or train connections can also be arranged as needed, subject to the confirmed itinerary.
Accommodation for small group tours will be arranged by Travel Mama consultants. For cross-regional itineraries, accommodations will be booked along the route to align with the driver/guide's schedule, based on budget. Actual room type and location will be confirmed with the quoted price.
Subject to availability, including confirmed hotels, transportation schedules, and important tickets, and provided that reasonable driver working hours and road conditions permit, the driver/guide will make minor adjustments on the day of travel. However, impromptu changes cannot be guaranteed.
The itinerary usually includes hotel breakfast, but lunch and dinner are mostly not included. The driver/guide can recommend English or Irish pubs based on the day's route, catering to different budgets.
According to local regulations, some national-level tourist attractions (such as the British Museum and Windsor Castle) typically prohibit tour guides from outside the premises, or require them to hold specific licenses (such as Blue Badge). Mandarin-speaking guides will provide historical background information and route guidance from outside the attractions.
Note before departure
The Tower of London and Harry Potter Studios are in high demand for ferries. It is recommended to confirm your departure date as early as possible and have an advisor handle the arrangements.
The weather is relatively sunny and stable. Christmas markets and New Year's Eve celebrations in Edinburgh are expected to be crowded, so it's best to book your accommodation in advance.
Both the UK and Ireland drive on the left. The UK uses the pound sterling, while Ireland uses the euro. Tipping is customary; restaurants often include a service charge.
Some castles and museums do not accept tour guides from outside the premises. The driver/guide will explain the route to the visitors outside the premises.
