Day 1
Arrival in Paris
Welcome! Private airport pick-up and transfer to your hotel. Free time. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Paris to begin your romantic French adventure.
Day 2
Paris: Versailles Palace and Montmartre
We will delve into French history, visiting the magnificent Palace of Versailles (entrance fee not included), whose beautiful gardens are breathtaking. Afterwards, we will travel to Montmartre and take the funicular (included) up to this bohemian district renowned for its painters, artists, and cabaret performances. To appreciate the stunning beauty of Paris's streets and monuments, you will have a guided city tour led by a local. Upon returning to the hotel, you can choose to attend a variety show.
Day 3
Paris → Loire Valley (Tours)
We will travel to the heart of Paris, starting with the Eiffel Tower district, where you will have the opportunity to ascend to the second floor of this magnificent building (ticket included). Afterwards, we will enjoy a Seine River cruise. At 5:30 PM, we depart Paris for the Loire Valley. We will arrive in the capital city of Tours in the evening, where we suggest a leisurely stroll and dinner in its beautiful historical center. (Note: If there are long queues at the Eiffel Tower, the ascent time may be rescheduled to accommodate the itinerary.)
Day 4
Tours → Bordeaux → Lourdes
Today we will travel through vineyards to the south of France, arriving in Bordeaux, whose city center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will have time for lunch and exploration, with a suggested visit to Port of the Moon and Saint-André Cathedral. We will then continue our journey to the Pyrenees, arriving in Lourdes later in the afternoon. You can participate in the candlelight procession (held from the end of March to the end of October) and visit various places of worship. Dinner is provided for all passengers at the hotel.
Day 5
Lourdes → Carcassonne → Narbonne → Marseille
We will travel through southern France, stopping in CARCASSONNE, a city surrounded by some of Europe's most beautiful city walls. Enjoy a leisurely stroll. After lunch, we will continue to NARBONNE, with free time to explore this historic Occitanie city with its picturesque historic center. Later in the afternoon, we will arrive in MARSEILLE, France's second-largest city. We recommend a walk through its vibrant "Vieux port," brimming with life and charming restaurants.
Day 6
Marseille → Arles → Avignon → Lyon
Villages, landscapes, history—today we'll see some of the most beautiful places in Provence. Arles, a World Heritage city, showcases Roman and medieval heritage. In Les Baux-de-Provence, we have the opportunity to visit this small medieval village, and we'll include tickets to the Carrières des Lumières, an impressive exhibition of art, images, and sounds in a former quarry. Lunch time and a stroll in Avignon. We continue to Lyon, wandering through the old town, and we'll include a funicular ride up to Notre-Dame de Fourvière for panoramic city views. (Note: If tickets to the Carrières des Lumières are unavailable, a transfer to the Pont du Cité in Rome will be provided as an alternative.)
Day 7
Lyon → Château Savigny → Burgundy wine region → Dijon
We will depart from Lyon and head to the Burgundy region. We will stop in Tournus. Afterwards, we will travel to Beaune to explore this wine capital of Burgundy. Next, we will visit Savigny Castle, built in the 15th century, which boasts some remarkable museums. We will continue to Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, with its vibrant streets and numerous medieval and Renaissance buildings, among which the Duke's Palace stands out.
Day 8
Dijon → Fontenay Abbey → Semur en Auxois → Paris
We leave Dijon for Fontenay Abbey, a World Heritage Site, where we will include admission to the center of this monastery. Afterwards, we will stop in Semur-en-Auxois, a medieval city surrounded by spectacular walls. Still in Burgundy, we will have time for lunch and a stroll in Vezelay, one of the most beautiful villages in France. In the afternoon, we continue to Paris, arriving in the evening.
Day 9
Departure from Paris
After breakfast, our journey will conclude, and a private car will take you to the airport, leaving you with wonderful memories of France.
