Booking Information and Mongolia Tourism FAQ

How cold is Mongolia in winter? How should I dress?

Winter temperatures in Mongolia can drop to minus 20 to 30 degrees Celsius or even lower. However, due to the extremely dry continental climate, the sensible temperature feels vastly different from Hong Kong's "wet cold." The key is the"onion dressing method" (layering):wear moisture-wicking thermal underwear as the base, a fleece or light down jacket as the mid-layer, and a strictly windproof and waterproof jacket or heavy down coat as the outer layer. Warm beanies, scarves, windproof gloves, wool socks, and high-top waterproof snow boots are also mandatory gear.

Will it be too cold staying in a Ger in winter? What about bathroom facilities?

No need to worry! Our Standard Ger camps are fully equipped with traditional stoves or modern heating systems, keeping the indoors extremely warm and cozy. However, bathroom facilities (toilets and showers) are shared and require walking to the main building. If you prefer higher privacy and want to avoid stepping out into the cold, we highly recommend upgrading to a "Deluxe Ger," which includes an en-suite bathroom and hot shower.

Is the dog sledding experience safe? Do I need to control it myself?

Husky dog sledding is a highly safe and immensely fun activity. The sleds are pulled by professionally trained sled dogs and guided by expert handlers. You simply need to sit comfortably on the sled, enjoying the thrill of gliding across the snow and the scenic views, no manual control is required. If weather conditions are unsuitable (e.g., insufficient snow), we will properly arrange alternative polar experiences.
