Day 1

Hong Kong ✈ Colombo – Negombo

Upon arrival at Colombo International Airport, you will be greeted by local staff who will assist you with arranging a SIM card. You will then be transferred by private car to your hotel in Negombo for check-in and rest.

Day 2

Negombo–Sigiriya (Lion Rock)

After breakfast, visit the historic fishing port of Negombo, a town steeped in history, and experience its Portuguese and Dutch architecture. Then, travel to Sigiriya and enjoy a refined Western lunch at the award-winning boutique Eco Hotel. In the afternoon, challenge yourself to climb the eighth wonder of the world, Sigiriya, and admire the ancient palace and exquisite murals built on a 200-meter-high rock face.

Day 3

Dambulla – Polonnaruwa

Travel to Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka's second-largest medieval capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 800 years of history. After returning to your hotel for rest, enjoy a special 60-minute traditional Sri Lankan Ayurvedic oil massage to relax your mind and body and relieve fatigue.

Day 4

Dambulla-Matell-Kantti

Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, built in the 1st century BC, and admire the hundreds of Buddha statues carved into the rock face. Afterwards, visit the Matlay Spice Garden to learn about various herbs. After lunch, arrive in Kandy, a UNESCO World Heritage city, and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses the Buddha's tooth relic. Then, experience the historical atmosphere at the Queen's Hotel, the former residence of the British governor of Ceylon during the British colonial era.

Day 5

Kandy-Nuwara Eliya

Travel to a high-altitude tea plantation to visit tea gardens and Ceylon tea factories, learn tea-picking techniques, and taste authentic black tea. Arrive in Nowar Eliya, a charming "Little England," and visit Lake Gregory and the red-brick post office. Enjoy a special afternoon tea, reminiscent of the Queen's style, at a hotel converted from the former British colonial governor's residence.

Day 6

Nuwara Eliya – Ella

Take the mountain train through vast tea plantations, like stepping into a fairytale world (Note: This is public transportation, seats are not guaranteed). After disembarking, head to the Nine Arches Bridge, built during the British colonial era, to admire the beautiful scenery where mist and tea gardens intertwine. In the evening, freely explore the unique shops and bars of Ella town and enjoy a happy and chill evening.

Day 7

Ella – Southern Coast

After lunch, drive to the southwest coast, enjoying the unique spectacle of traditional stilt fishermen fishing along the way. After arriving at the beachfront hotel, you will have free time.

Day 8

Southwest Coast – Galle Fort

Enjoy a relaxing morning at the seaside hotel. Day 9

Southern Coast – Colombo – Airport ✈ Hong Kong

Upon arrival, enjoy a city tour, visiting Independence Square and BMICH. Dinner is a special treat at the Ministry of Crab, a restaurant consistently ranked among Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, featuring a renowned lagoon crab feast! After dinner, transfer to the airport by private vehicle.

Frequently Asked Questions and Precautions

Visa and Entry

  • ETA Visa: Holders of Hong Kong SAR passports must complete the Sri Lanka ETA before departure. Official fees and regulations are subject to change at the time of application. If you require our assistance, the estimated handling fee is USD 5 per passport.
  • Passport validity period: Guests must hold a passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of return to Hong Kong.

Transportation and Tipping Culture

  • Local trains: Both the mountain train and the coastal train are part of local public transportation. Service frequency, tickets, and seats are not guaranteed and can be crowded. If you are unable to board due to delays, full occupancy, or force majeure, you will be transported by tour bus instead. No refunds will be given for these activities.
  • Tipping culture: Sri Lanka is a tipping country, and the quoted price does not include a courtesy tip. Suggested amounts: approximately 100-200 rupees for bedside/luggage/toilet/luggage storage; approximately 2000 rupees per vehicle for jeep drivers in wildlife parks; approximately 500 rupees for stilt fishermen taking photos on their poles. Tips are also expected for guides and drivers.
