Finally, visit the Golden Pagoda and Dai ancient town in Mangshi, take a domestic flight back to Kunming and fly home to Hong Kong the next day. The route links the natural scenery, ancient towns and diverse ethnic cultures of central and western Yunnan.

This 8-day Western Yunnan tour starts and ends in Kunming, travelling in turn through the Stone Forest, Chuxiong, Dali, Tengchong and Mangshi. Highlights include the Stone Forest, a photo shoot by Erhai Lake, Bai tie-dye, Baoshan coffee culture, Rehai (Hot Sea) in Tengchong and Dai sights in Mangshi; on Day 7 a domestic flight takes you from Mangshi back to Kunming. The order of sights and travel times are subject to the official confirmation.

DAY 2 · Stone Forest
Travel from Kunming to the Stone Forest Scenic Area and explore its remarkable rock pinnacles, by scenic-area electric shuttle in the reference itinerary; then visit the Yi Ten-Month Solar Calendar Cultural Park in Chuxiong, with an evening bonfire party in the reference itinerary.
DAY 3 · Dali
Visit Huayu Ranch, the Erhai Ecological Corridor and Xizhou Ancient Town, with a jeep ride to the lakeside for a photo shoot in the reference itinerary, try Bai tie-dyeing, then stroll through Dali Ancient City.
DAY 4–6 · Tengchong
Head to a coffee culture park in Baoshan and Simola Wa Village, then go on to Tengchong's Beihai Wetland, the Rehai Scenic Area, the Volcano and Geothermal National Geopark and Heshun Ancient Town.
From Yi culture in Chuxiong, Bai tie-dye in Dali and Wa villages in Tengchong to the Dai ancient town and Menghuan Great Golden Pagoda in Mangshi, the itinerary shows the architecture and ways of life of different regions.
In Dali, a jeep takes you to lakeside spots for a photo shoot, and the reference itinerary includes two original professional photos per group as a gift; in Baoshan, visit a coffee plantation and cultural park and try coffee roasting.
After travelling from Tengchong to Mangshi for sightseeing, take a one-way domestic flight back to Kunming for the night, then return to Hong Kong the next day on your confirmed flight; the Mangshi–Kunming flight is subject to ticketing.
Reference flight: China Eastern Airlines MU9624, departing Hong Kong at 11:25 and arriving in Kunming at 14:00. After airport pick-up, head to Daguan Park, approx. 1.5 hours' drive (indicative).

Drive approx. 1.5 hours from Kunming to the Stone Forest Scenic Area; the scenic-area electric shuttle is included in the reference itinerary. Drive approx. 2.5 hours to Huayu Ranch in Dali, then switch to a jeep for the lakeside photo spots of Erhai Lake, including the Erhai Ecological Corridor, Haibin Flower Garden, the Mirror of the Sky and the glass sphere. Next, visit Xizhou Ancient Town to try Bai tie-dyeing, an intangible cultural heritage craft, and finish at Dali Ancient City; for the photo shoot, the reference itinerary includes two original professional photos per group as a gift.

Drive from Dali to Lujiangba in Baoshan, approx. 4 hours (indicative), then on to the Bidun Coffee Industry Cultural Park, approx. 2 hours (indicative), to learn about Baoshan small-bean coffee and try roasting. Afterwards, visit Simola Wa Village, with the sightseeing bus included in the reference itinerary, before continuing to Tengchong to check in.

Every year from 15 October to 30 November, the Volcano Geopark is replaced by a visit to the Ancient Ginkgo Village, with the electric shuttle included in the reference itinerary.
