Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Today's tour includes visits to three of Bangkok's most important Buddhist temples. Wat Traimit, also known as the Golden Buddha Temple, houses a solid gold Buddha statue weighing 5.5 tons and standing 3 meters tall. You will then travel through Chinatown to Wat Pho, a temple dedicated to the reclining Buddha and the King's Temple. The Buddha statue, 46 meters long and 15 meters high, is the largest in Bangkok, depicting the Buddha's entry into Nirvana. The Grand Palace is one of the most beautiful examples of the ancient Siamese royal courts. It was once the residence of the Kings of Bangkok. Here, you will see palaces used for various occasions: the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Royal Guest House, and the beautiful Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Temple). To complete the tour, we will also visit a local gem factory and showroom where you can purchase locally made jewelry, handicrafts, and silk at competitive prices.

Visit Maeklong Railway Market to witness stalls retracting as trains pass. Continue to the famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market to experience vibrant canal-side trading and local lifestyle.

Early in the morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Pick up between 6:00 and 6:30 AM and depart for Kanchanaburi Province (128 km). Visit the Thai-Burma Railway Centre – an interactive museum offering information and research facilities on the history of the Thai-Burma Railway. The fully air-conditioned centre provides an educational and moving experience for visitors. Continue by visiting the Allied POW Cemetery, a memorial to approximately 6,000 Allied prisoners of war who perished on the Death Railway and were later moved to this final resting place. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (included), followed by a ride on the historic Death Railway train, passing over an original wooden viaduct built by Allied POWs. After the tour, return to Bangkok and transfer to your hotel upon arrival.
