Day 1

Hong Kong ✈ Paro ➝ Timbu

Kuenselphodrang Buddha Statue; National Memorial Chorten; Clock Tower Square.

Day 2

Thimphu → Punaka → Thimphu

Dochula Pass and Druk Wangyal Chorten; Royal Botanical Park, Lamperi; Punakha Dzong; Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery and Chimi Lhakhang.

Day 3

Timbu ➝ Paro

Simply Bhutan (archery); Tashichho Dzong (stamps issued by the National Post Office); Paro Farmers Market; Ema Datshi (cooking experience).

Day 4

Paro → Haa Valley → Paro

Haa Valley wheat fields; White Temple and Black Temple; distant view of Wangchuck Lo Dzong; return and visit Rinpung Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang.

Day 5

Paro (Challenge Tiger's Den Temple)

Challenge Tiger's Nest; optional horseback riding up the mountainside (at your own expense); optional hot stone bath after descending the mountain (at your own expense); try on Gho/Kira clothing.

Day 6

Paro ✈ Hong Kong

Free time in the morning; private car will take you to the airport to return to Hong Kong.

The outbound flight is a direct flight from Hong Kong to Paro (KB 601). The return flight KB 600 makes a technical stop for refueling at Baghdogra (IXB), India, for approximately 45 minutes; passengers do not need to disembark.

What's the weather like in Bhutan? Is altitude sickness common?

Bhutan experiences four distinct seasons, with significant temperature differences between day and night in the mountainous regions. It is recommended to wear layered clothing and bring a warm jacket. Paro and Thimphu have an average altitude of approximately 2,200–2,400 meters, and severe altitude sickness is generally not expected. Tiger's Nest Monastery is at an altitude of approximately 3,120 meters; it is advisable to slow down when hiking there.

Are there any dress requirements for entering a temple?

When entering religious sites, long-sleeved shirts and long pants/skirts are required; shorts, sleeveless shirts, or slippers are strictly prohibited. Hats and shoes must be removed before visiting temples; when within the grounds of a stupa, one should circumambulate clockwise.

Is hot stone bath included in the tour fee?
