Tshechu, meaning "Ten Days Festival," is Bhutan's grandest and most sacred religious and social celebration. You will witness monks and people dressed in colorful silk garments and wearing sacred masks, performing traditional masked dances (Cham Dance). For Bhutanese people, witnessing these sacred dances is a process of purifying the soul and cleansing sins; you will deeply feel the locals' devotion to their faith and their pure joy.

Festive dance performances held in outdoor plazas generally welcome tourists to take photos and videos, making it an excellent opportunity to capture Bhutanese traditional culture!
