What are the Ger accommodations and bathroom facilities like?
This tour defaults to "Standard Ger" accommodations. Gers are private rooms full of local charm, but bathroom facilities(toilets and showers) are shared within the camp.We carefully select camps that maintain their shared facilities in clean and good condition. If you prefer higher privacy, we highly recommend upgrading to a "Deluxe Ger," which includes an en-suite bathroom and hot shower.
Is the drive to Mongolia long? What are the road conditions like?
Mongolia is a vast country with many geographically dispersed areas, and the average daily driving time is about 3 to 5 hours (approximately 280 km for trips to the Mini Gobi Desert). Some sections of the road leading deep into the grasslands and national parks are unpaved off-road tracks, which can be quite bumpy. This is precisely the charm of in-depth travel in Mongolia; travelers prone to motion sickness are advised to prepare motion sickness medication in advance.
What is the weather like in Mongolia? What should I pack?
Mongolia has a typical continental climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night. Even in summer (July-August), daytime temperatures can reach 25-30 degrees Celsius, but nighttime temperatures on the grasslands can plummet to 10 degrees Celsius or below. It is strongly recommended to wear layers of clothing, including a windproof and waterproof jacket, warm clothing, sun protection, and comfortable walking shoes.

Day 1
Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome dinner at a fine restaurant (subject to flight arrival time). Overnight at the hotel. (Dinner)
Day 2
Visit the "Mini Gobi" sand dunes and a nomadic family. Optional camel riding is available at your own expense. Overnight at a ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 3
Visit the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire and Erdene Zuu Monastery. In the afternoon, head to Lake Ugii for birdwatching and relaxation. Overnight at a lakeside ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 4
Explore the park to find Przewalski’s horses, deer, and marmots while learning about local conservation efforts. Overnight in a grassland ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 5
Visit the world's tallest equestrian statue of Genghis Khan. Continue to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park to see Turtle Rock and visit a nomadic family. Overnight in a park ger camp. (B/L/D)
