Day 1
Arrival in Lima
Upon arrival in Lima on your international flight, you will be transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you are free to relax or explore the city at your own pace. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through Parque Kennedy or admire the stunning coastal views along the Miraflores promenade. Lima is also renowned as South America's culinary capital, so don't miss the opportunity to sample its famous local dishes.
Day 2
Lima City Guide + Paragliding Experience
In the morning, head to Plaza de Armas for a colonial history tour of Lima. Visit the exquisite and ornate colonial and neoclassical architectural complexes, including Catedral de Lima, Palacio de Gobierno, and Palacio Municipal. In the afternoon, enjoy a paragliding experience and take in the breathtaking views of Lima from the air.
Day 3
Islas Ballestas and Huacachina Oasis
Departing from Lima to Paracas, take a boat to Islas Ballestas, passing the mysterious Candelabra Geoglyph nestled on the coastal hillsides. As you approach the island, you can observe sea lions, Humboldt Penguins, and various seabirds. Afterwards, visit a winery in Ica, explore the desert oasis Huacachina, and experience off-road dune buggies and sandboarding.
Day 4
Fly to Cusco
Fly to Cusco in the morning. Known as the "Archaeological Capital of the Americas," Cusco was the heart of the Inca Empire in the 14th and 15th centuries. Today, Cusco blends ancient pre-Inca, Inca, and Spanish colonial styles, showcasing a rich history and culture. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided city tour, visiting several archaeological sites including Plaza de Armas, the Temple of the Sun, and Sacsayhuamán.
Day 5
Sacred Valley Day Trip
First, visit Chinchero, a colonial-era church built on Inca foundations, and well-preserved Inca stone walls. Then proceed to Moray, the site of circular terraced fields believed to be an Inca agricultural experimentation ground. Next, head to Maras Salt Mines, salt ponds situated on a hillside, forming a honeycomb-like terraced landscape. Finally, after visiting the best-preserved Inca town of Ollantaytambo, take a train to Aguas Calientes.
Day 6
Mountain biking tour + whitewater rafting (seasonal only)
Depart from Cusco in the morning for a thrilling three-hour downhill mountain bike ride to Abra Málaga at an altitude of 4,316 meters. The route traverses highland grasslands and forests, culminating in the Huaman Marq'a Inca ruins. Afterwards, transfer to Santa Teresa for hotel check-in and a relaxing afternoon at the hot springs. Limited to April-December: A whitewater rafting trip on the Vilcanota River is available in the afternoon (participants must be able to swim).
Day 7
Zipline experience + trip to Aguas Calientes
After breakfast, participate in a 2-hour zipline experience. Afterwards, travel by vehicle to the Hydroelectrica hydroelectric power station, and then hike to Aguas Calientes (if you do not wish to participate in the zipline, you can choose to hike for approximately three hours along a pristine rainforest trail to the power station). En route, you will pass the small archaeological site of Intihuatana, arriving in Aguas Calientes around 4 PM.
Day 8
Machu Picchu Day Trip
In the morning, take a bus to Machu Picchu—a city high in the Andes Mountains. Stroll among the ruins' temples, plazas, and terraces, enjoying the breathtaking panoramic views and learning about the Inca civilization's remarkable achievements in architecture and engineering through exquisite craftsmanship. In the afternoon, return to Cusco by train and shuttle bus.
Day 9
Rainbow Mountain Hiking Experience
We departed from Cusco in the early morning, passing through Andean villages. After breakfast, we began our approximately 1.5-hour hike. Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), located at an altitude of 5,200 meters, is one of the world's most unique natural wonders, its slopes adorned with vibrant red, green, yellow, and purple stripes due to the presence of various minerals. For a long period, the mountain was covered in snow and ice, and only in recent years, with the gradual retreat of the snow and ice due to global climate change, has this colorful mountain range begun to reveal its true beauty.
Day 10
The journey has ended.
We were taken to the airport, concluding our adventure in Peru.
