Service attitude

Service attitude: The market is not very busy on Saturdays, but I still look forward to customers coming in so I can help them find what they need, or at least chat with them.

When the first guest came in, I greeted him with a warm smile, but he seemed shy and left in less than 30 seconds. I was a little disappointed, but I still looked forward to the next guest coming.

Then another customer approached. I tried not to speak, but simply nodded politely and maintained eye contact, hoping they would notice me if they needed help. I noticed he seemed unfamiliar with the market, so I gestured to the surrounding stalls, hoping to help him find what he needed. However, the customer seemed uncomfortable and left in less than 30 seconds. I felt quite helpless, unsure how to break the awkward silence.

Finally, another customer arrived, and I decided to ignore him completely, hoping he would feel comfortable. I focused on my own tasks while also trying to stay observant, ready to help anyone who needed assistance. Unfortunately, this customer seemed very unhappy and left in less than 30 seconds. I felt extremely frustrated and began to doubt my abilities, worrying that I wouldn't be able to meet the customer's needs.

This situation lasted for several hours, and my confidence gradually eroded. However, I still believed I could do better, and I began to think about how to improve myself. I decided to proactively communicate with guests, going beyond simple greetings to understand their needs and then offer helpful suggestions and assistance.

Oh my god, what should I do?
