Frozen Sapphire: Hearing the "Heartbeat" of Lake Khuvsgul

The highlight of the trip is taking you north to Lake Khövsgul, the northernmost point of Mongolia. Many people have been to Lake Baikal to see its blue ice, but Lake Khövsgul's wildness and purity are unparalleled. In winter, the lake freezes over with an extremely thick layer of ice, thick enough for a two-ton off-road vehicle to drive on. We will arrange experienced drivers to drive directly onto the ice (don't worry, it's absolutely safe). The feeling of "floating on water," surrounded by snow-capped mountains, is incredibly surreal, like being on another planet.

The ice, compressed by the temperature difference between day and night, forms shapes resembling frozen ocean waves, or cracks with crisscrossing deep blue lines. When sunlight refracts through it, the ice shines like jewels, so beautiful you need sunglasses to look directly at it. Most amazingly, if you're quiet enough, you'll hear a low-frequency rumbling or whale-like sound coming from the bottom of the lake; locals call this the "song of the lake," but it's actually the sound of the ice being compressed. Playing snowmobile drifting or even having a hot picnic on the ice is an ultimate experience that most people might only experience once in their lifetime.

Stepping into the real-life version of Frozen: The Last Reindeer Tribe

Beyond the visual spectacle, the most precious aspect of this tour is the cultural experience. We will venture deep into the Darkhad Taiga rainforest to visit the Tsaatan, the world's last remaining reindeer herding people. They are truly a "reclusive tribe," living in the polar environment and coexisting with reindeer for generations. Their life is not a theatrical performance for tourists, but their authentic way of living.

As you traverse the snow-covered forest and witness hundreds of reindeer grazing on the snow, coupled with the distinctive ortz tents of the Chattan people, you might feel as if you've stumbled into a scene from "Frozen," or perhaps Santa's secret hideout. You can touch the thick fur of a reindeer, even try riding one (if you're brave enough!), sit inside a tent, sip a cup of hot sour tea, and listen to the elders recount how they have survived for thousands of years on this harsh land, relying on reindeer. This kind of pristine isolation is something you absolutely cannot find in any developed city; it's a true spiritual cleansing.

Refusing to be an ascetic: The king of off-road vehicles x a heated yurt

Many people's impression of Mongolian winters is "freezing cold" and "bumpy rides." We understand the Hong Kong people's desire for adventure but also their desire to avoid suffering, so we didn't skimp on the hardware. First and foremost, transportation is the most important aspect. Road conditions in Mongolian winters are severe, and ordinary vehicles simply can't handle them, so we insisted on using [unspecified vehicle type] throughout the trip. It is equipped with an extremely experienced driver to ensure that everyone can sit comfortably and warmly on the snow without being jolted to the bone.

Regarding accommodation, although we're in the wilderness, we'll try our best to arrange the best options. In Ulaanbaatar, we'll stay in a 4-star hotel in the city center; when we go to the lakeside or the suburbs, we'll arrange for us to stay in "luxury yurt camps." These yurts aren't the kind that ordinary herders stay in; they're designed specifically for tourists, with heating facilities, and some even have private bathrooms. Imagine, outside it's minus twenty degrees Celsius and snowing heavily, while you're inside a yurt wearing a short-sleeved shirt, drinking hot tea, and looking at the stars through the skylight—that kind of contrast is the best part of the travel experience.
